BEEF STROGANOFF 
1 1/2 lb. beef steak, cut in 3/4 inch wide slices
1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. boiling water
2 tbsp. catsup
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. onions, thinly sliced
1 beef bouillon cube
3 oz. can sliced mushrooms
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. pepper

Dredge meat in flour and seasoning. Brown in shortening with onions. Dissolve bouillon cube in water. Add to meat, add mushrooms with liquid. Add catsup and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer 45 minutes in heavy saucepan until meat is tender. Add sour cream just before serving. Heat but do not boil. Serve on noodles or rice.
