1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar

Mix and chill.

Once chilled, roll out on floured bread board and cookie cut into shapes. Bake on greased cookie sheets at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.

Frost and decorate as desired.
