HOT MILK CAKE 
4 eggs
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat sugar and eggs together. Add flour and baking powder, beating well. Bring milk and butter to a boil. Beat in preceding mixture and add vanilla.

Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes in a tube pan.

Caramel Icing:

1 c. packed brown sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk
2 c. powdered sugar

Cook brown sugar, milk and butter for 2 minutes. Add powdered sugar and vanilla; beat. More milk or sugar can be added if not the right consistency.
