HOT MILK SPONGE CAKE 
2 c flour
2 level tsps baking powder
1 tsp salt
4 eggs
2 c sugar
1 1/3 c milk
1 stick butter
vanilla
lemon

Use a 2 cup measure and fill to the brim with flour. Put into sifter. Add baking powder, and salt and set aside. Beat eggs with mixer. Using the same cup as above, fill to 2 cup line with sugar, and add to eggs. Beat this mixture some more. Put milk in a saucepan and add butter and heat to boiling. Add flour mixture to eggs and sugar then add hot milk vanilla and lemon. Mix well.

Bake at 350°F about one hour.
