BUTTERED BAKED POTATO SLICES 
1/2 c. butter, melted
4 sm. Idaho potatoes, peeled and sliced 1/2 inch thick
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. packaged bread crumbs
2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese

Pour half the melted butter in a shallow baking dish; place sliced potatoes in dish. Baste well with part of remaining butter; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Baste with remaining butter. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese and continue baking until potatoes are tender, about 10 minutes.

Yes 1 inch slices, salted butter to the halfway mark. Preheat oven to 400°F. 10 mins at this temperature; and then 350°F, for the next 15. Turn over every 5 mins and 5 mins before the end grind fresh black pepper on the exposed side. Best potatoes I ever ate, with or without pepper.
