BEEF BARLEY SOUP 
Brown 1 pound hamburger and 1 chopped onion. Add:

2 lg. cans tomato sauce
1 c. barley
2 bay leaves
1-2 tbsp. parsley
Dash of thyme
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. each salt & pepper
Celery tops, chopped
1-2 sliced carrots
1/8 c. beef bouillon or
6 cubes dissolved in 4 c. water

Bring ingredients to a boil 45 minutes minimum. Add 1 cup frozen peas, corn or any veggies frozen and bring to warm.
