CONVENT PIE 
1/2 c. uncooked macaroni
1/4 c. (melted) butter
1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
1 c. scalded milk
3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
2 eggs (separated)

Cook macaroni and drain. Scald milk and add butter and a dash of salt and pepper. Beat egg yolks and add to milk and butter mixture, then add cheese to this.

Combine in casserole dish the cooked macaroni, bread and milk mixture. Beat egg whites to stiffly beaten peaks. Add to other ingredients in casserole dish by folding the egg whites in gently. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
