I used a bigger chicken and added more water. Yum! This was my first try making chicken soup and it was so easy!

This is SO SO easy. I usually make mine stove top..exact same ingredients! But so nice to be able to prepare ahead of time and come home to... There's NOTHING Like making chicken soup from chicken on the bone... The only way to give it real home made flavor. Note: I use chicken pieces.. Sometimes just thighs. I take the skin off to keep soup from being greasy or having to skim it. You'll still get a little fat from the meat..Which adds to the flavor a lot. Enjoy!

I just made it for the first time tonight and it's delicious. I had forgotten to pick up the egg noodles so I added a box of orzo and I used rosemary instead of parsley. I'm going to make it again and use it to take to lunch. Thank you for posting your recipe.

This was so good and easy, my first time making chicken soup was a success. I cooked it on high for about 5 hours, and next time I'll add some more water if cooking on high again as I think the high setting boiled away some of the liquid. Definately a keeper!
