GREEN PEPPER AND ONION STEAK 
1/4 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. water
1 lb. round steak
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 clove garlic
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes, peeled
1 c. thinly sliced onion
1 green pepper, cut in strips
2 tbsp. cooking oil

Crush garlic clove; mix with soy sauce, water and ginger in a saucepan. Heat to boiling. Slice steak into thin strips, place in bowl and marinate with soy sauce mixture for 30 minutes. Drain meat (save marinate) brown on both sides in oil, cover, simmer 10-15 minutes. Drain tomatoes.

Combine liquid with water to equal 1 cup. Quarter tomatoes. Add tomatoes, onions and green peppers to meat. Mix tomato liquid with marinate, stir in cornstarch and pour over meat. Simmer, covered, 15 minutes stirring occasionally. Serve with rice. 2-3 servings.
