GINGERBREAD BOYS 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 c. molasses
1 tbsp. vinegar
3 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Cinnamon candies (red hots)
Confectioners' sugar icing

Cream together butter, sugar and salt. Stir in egg, molasses and vinegar. Sift together the dry ingredients. Add to the molasses mixture and mix well. Chill for 3 to 4 hours. Roll dough to about 1/8 inch on lightly floured board. Cut with gingerbread men cutters. Handle the dough gently. Place about 1 inch apart on greased cookie sheet. Press in cinnamon candies for eyes and buttons. Bake in moderately hot oven 375 degrees. About 8 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheets. When cool use a confectioners sugar icing to pipe on trims. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
