GINGER SNAPS 
3/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. molasses
3 tsp. baking soda
5 c. flour
3 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cold water

Cream sugar and butter. Add soda to molasses and stir together. Mix with sugar mixture. Sift all dry ingredients together and mix alternately with water to first batter. Drop by teaspoon on a greased sheet. Bake in 350 degree F. moderate oven 15 minutes. Remove from sheet immediately. Makes 6 dozen cookies. Cookies will harden when cool.
