Just picked fresh blackberries and wanted to bake a cobbler for the 4th of July with them. I decided to give this recipe a try...and I am so glad I did! It is incredible! I used a 8x8 glass baking dish. I wanted it to have juice so I added a cup of water to the fresh blackberry mixture. Follow recipe to the letter. I am keeping this one to bake again. Not too sweet yet moist & soft with a wonderful crispness to the crust that bubbles up.
