OLD - FASHIONED PEACH COBBLER
1 stick butter
1 c. flour
1 c. milk
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 medium can sliced peaches, well drained

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. While oven is heating, place butter in 8 x 8 inch pan and melt in oven. While butter is melting, mix flour, milk, sugar, and baking powder in bowl. When butter is melted, remove pan and pour in batter. Immediately drop peaches over top of batter evenly. Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour. When cobbler is done, it will pull away from sides of pan. The peaches will sink to the bottom as the cobbler bakes so make sure they are spread very evenly. Serve warm or at room temperature. Turn servings over so that the peaches are on top.

This is a GREAT recipe. Very easy and VERY tasty. Of course it can be used with any kind of fruit. If you are using fresh fruit be sure to partially cook the fruit before you add to the cobbler. DELICIOUS!!!

If you drain, you will have a dry cobbler. Also, I use larger pan and it works better.
