CITY CHICKEN 
Wooden skewers
1 1/2 lbs. pork & veal
1 egg
1 c. water
1 pkg. powder blue cheese dressing
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. Italian bread crumbs

Cube meat and place on skewers. Beat egg and water slightly; stir in salad dressing mix. Dip skewers in egg mixture then coat with bread crumbs. Melt shortening in large skillet; brown meat quickly. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 hour or until meat is cooked. Add small amounts of water as necessary.
