CANDIED YAMS 
4 cans (16 oz. each) yams in syrup
1/2 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
1 c. miniature marshmallows
3/4 c. chopped peanuts
1/4 c. butter

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a 2 quart shallow baking dish. Drain yams, reserving 1/4 cup syrup. Cut yams in half lengthwise. Layer half the yams in baking dish. Sprinkle with half the peanuts, marshmallows and sugar, and dotting with half the butter. Repeat layers. Drizzle with reserved syrup. Bake 35 to 45 minutes until heated through.
