LEMON SUGAR COOKIES 
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sour milk (soured with lemon juice)
2 eggs
Lemon extract

Sift and measure flour. Sift again with salt, soda, and sugar. Cut in butter. Combine eggs, milk, extract, add to dry ingredients. Beat until smooth. Chill, roll and cut into shapes. Top with colored and lemon-flavored sugar before baking, or frost after baking. Bake 10 minutes at 325 degrees, just until edges start to turn. Yield: 4 dozen or more, depending on size.
