12 tbsp. sugar 12 tbsp. egg yolks 12 tbsp. cracker crumbs, unsalted white crackers 12 tbsp. ground walnuts, finely ground 12 egg whites, beaten 1 tsp. baking powder 1 pt. heavy cream Beat sugar and egg yolks until light yellow in color. Add the ground nuts, cracker crumbs and baking powder. Then fold in the beaten egg whites. Pour batter into two 8 or 9 inch round cake pans. Frost between layers and top with whipped cream (add 10x sugar to taste). |
