FRESH PEACH COBBLER 
2 1/2 c. sliced peaches (if using frozen thaw & drain off liquid)
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. milk
1/4 lb. butter

Combine peaches and 1/2 cup sugar in bowl and let stand. Melt butter in 2 quart casserole. Mix flour, baking powder, 1 cup sugar and milk together. Pour batter over melted butter. Do not mix or stir together. Pour peaches over the batter. Note: The batter will rise to the top during baking. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
