APPLESAUCE BREAD | |
1/2 c. butter, softened 1 c. packed brown sugar 1 egg 1 3/4 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg 1/2 tsp. ground cloves 1/2 c. pecans, chopped 1 c. raisins 1 (15 oz.) jar natural applesauce Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a 9-inch loaf pan. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy; beat in egg. Combine the flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves; add to creamed mixture alternately with applesauce, beating after each addition. Stir in raisins and pecans. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour; cool. |
