Ground Beef and Rice Casserole

This was easy to make and super yummy. Although I put a little more than the recipe called for. I used almost 2 cans of the cream of chicken, 2 stalks of celery, 1 whole bell pepper and 1 medium onion. I also used sharp instead of mild cheese, about a cup mixed in, then after it was done in the oven I sprinkled some on top and stuck it back in for about 5 minutes. (Makes it prettier I think...) I also sprinkled garlic salt to taste, but I bet it would be good to chop up a couple garlic cloves and sautee those with the veggies. I got a good reaction from the family and will most definitely make it again.

This recipe is super easy and really yummy. Hubby absolutely loved it! He checked to make sure I saved this recipe to make it for him more often.

This recipe is absolutely perfect for parents having a football game day party! It suits not only the children but, the adults as well. I made four casseroles for the 8 adults and 8 kids and I still ran out by halftime. Everyone loved it! I did make a few additions; used wild brown rice, added 2 cloves of garlic, added 1/2 ts. of tarragon, 1 ts. of paprika, 1 hatch roasted chili, and when it came out of the oven I added shredded Muenster cheese. Thank-you for a quick, healthy football recipe!

This recipe is a keeper! Loved it! Added a little more celery and onion and 2 cups cooked rice. I also did what Jenna did. I sprinkled more cheese on top and stuck it back in the oven. I am hoping this will be a good recipe to freeze.

I wonder if cornbread over the top of this would be good

I made this on the fly...day before grocery day, so didn't have all ingredients. I used crm of chkn & crm of celery (did not have green pepper or fresh celery). Added a can of corn (drained) and used more rice (was trying to use leftovers). Also used sharp cheddar and, like Jenna and Susan, added some to top at the end. Very yummy, very easy. We voted it a keeper in our house!

Mmmm! This dish made my family smile! I dislike green pepper, so i didn't add any, but I still enjoyed it. I added cheese on the top, too! FABULOUS!

I really liked this. I used chicken noodle soup because I didn't have any cream of chicken. Also laid american slices over the top. Like Sherry said, it was right before grocery day so I used what I had but it turned out great.

I was trying to find a recipe for hamburger and rice, found this one and thought I would try it. I didn't have the soup or cheese, but used a tomato based soup instead and used a medium onion and whole bell pepper. It was just great. At the end of cooking added fried onions on top and baked 5 more minutes. Family loved it..Thank you so much!!!

Great recipe! The first time I made it, though, I didn't know if I should mix the chicken soup with water or use it as is out of the can. I mixed it with water and, alas, had a pretty soupy casserole. I know what to do next time. My family loved it.

I added to cloves of minced garlic with the veggies, also added a can of cream of mushroom soup and a can of peas & carrots along with the cream of chicken. More than doubled the recipe so I could freeze one. GREAT!

Like others said this was super easy to make. The day before grocery shopping so I used left over rice and instead of the fresh veggies I use onion powder and dried onions and celery seed... I also added some tomatoes I stewed and froze (trying to use up leftovers)... Its in the oven now and smells delicious... I'm baking it uncovered (since it doesn't specify) cant wait to see how it tastes!
