POT ROASTED INDIVIDUAL MEAT
LOAVES
 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 beaten egg
1 c. soft bread crumbs
1 onion, minced
2 onions, sliced
10 sprigs parsley
1/2 chopped green pepper
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. tomato juice
2 tbsp. each flour and fat
1 beef bouillon cube

Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, minced onion, salt, pepper, beaten egg and tomato juice. Shape into loaves (6). Dust with the flour. Heat fat in kettle and brown loaves on all sides (few at a time). Remove loaves and pour off fat.

Put sliced onion and parsley sprigs in kettle and arrange on top of loaves. Dissolve bouillon cube in 1/2 cup boiling water and pour over top. Add green pepper. Cover and simmer 30 minutes or longer. Serve with drippings over top. (6 loaves)
