JOY'S CHERRY CAKE 
1 1/2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c.sugar
2 eggs
5 tbsp. melted butter
1 can thickened pie cherries

Sift together dry ingredients. Put eggs in cup and fill with the milk, then stir into flour mixture. Add melted butter and vanilla; beat well. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Spoon cherries over cake mixture. Top with streusel, bake as directed.

STREUSEL TOPPING:

1/2 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix all ingredients together. Cover cake with streusel mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 375 degrees and bake 30 minutes more.
