KAMI'S KABBAGE KRUNCH | |
A kolorful and krunchy alternative to kole-slaw. Serves 12. Toast 1 cup sliced almonds and 4 tablespoons white sesame seeds 8 to 10 minutes in 350 degree oven. Combine: 1 head cabbage, thinly sliced 4 green onions, chopped 2 pkg. Ramen chicken noodles, uncooked and broken up (save 1 packet flavoring for dressing) 1 carrot, julienned 2 tbsp. Beni Shoga (Japanese red pickled ginger) optional or 1 thinly sliced red pepper DRESSING: 4 tbsp. sugar 6 tbsp. red wine vinegar 1/2 c. oil 1 to 2 tsp. soy sauce 1 packet chicken soup flavoring from Ramen Salt and pepper Mix and pour dressing over vegetables and noodles. Toss along with almonds and sesame seeds. Recipe can be easily halved or add slivered chicken and serve as a main dish. Serves 12. |
