NANTUCKET CORN STICKS 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. corn meal
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. Crisco

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Combine first 4 ingredients. Beat eggs and sugar lightly; stir in flour mixture. Add milk and Crisco (melted). Pour into heated greased corn stick molds. Bake until golden, about 20 minutes. Remove from molds; serve hot. Makes 1 dozen.
