BUTTERMILK PIE 
Pastry for 1 crust pie
2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. melted butter
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. buttermilk
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line 9 inch pie plate with pastry. Combine sugar, flour and nutmeg in a mixing bowl. Add butter, beat until creamy. Stir in eggs, buttermilk, lemon juice and vanilla. Pour filling into pastry lined pie plate and bake for 10 minutes. Turn temperature down to 325 and bake for 30 minutes longer.
