CORN BREAD 
1 c. milk
1 c. yellow cornmeal
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. oil or bacon drippings
1 tsp. salt
#2 corn

Set mixture aside. Brown 1 pound hamburger and 2 chopped. Grate 1/2 pound longhorn cheese and 1 small can of chopped green chili peppers. Heat greased iron skillet or heavy pan (9 x 9 inch). When hot, pour 1/2 corn bread mixture in pan, layer meat, peppers, cheese and pour rest of corn bread mixture on top. Bake at 300 degrees for 50 minutes. Mixture will seem to soft when done, but sets up as it cools.
