FAVORITE CORN BREAD 
3/4 c. yellow corn meal
1/4.c flour
1/8 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. bacon drippings, heated until liquid

Combine all ingredients. Use some bacon drippings which are firm, not melted, to grease corn stick or muffin pan. Pour batter into greased pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes for muffins or 20 minutes for corn sticks. Easy to make. Many have told me this is the best corn bread they have eaten. Yield: 12 small muffins or 7 corn sticks.
