SMOKED SAUSAGE WITH CABBAGE,
SWEET POTATOES & APPLES
 
1 - 1 1/2 lbs. Hillshire smoked sausage, cut into 1/2" slices
1 (13 1/4 oz.) can chicken broth
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
1 tsp. mustard seeds (opt.)
1 lb. sweet potatoes, peeled & cut into 1/2" chunks
2/3 c. onion, chopped
1 1/4 lbs. green cabbage, shredded coarse
1 lg. Golden Delicious or other firm apple, quartered, cored & cut into 1/2" pieces

Stir chicken broth and mustard in deep 12" skillet. Add mustard seeds and bring to boil. Add sweet potatoes and onion. Reduce heat to medium. Cover and cook 5 minutes. Add sausage and cabbage. Cover and cook 15 minutes longer, stirring once or twice. Stir in apples. Cover and simmer additional 3 minutes.
