STUFFED VEGETABLE MARROW | |
1 med. size marrow 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs Sm. onion, minced 1 tsp. summer savory or other herbs Salt and pepper to taste 2 c. leftover meat (minced) 1 beaten egg 1 tsp. parsley Flour 3 tbsp. drippings Peel marrow, cut in half lengthwise, take out pulp and seeds. Boil in salted water 10 minutes. Drain well. Combine meat, crumbs, egg, onion, parsley and seasoning. Fill 1/2 of the marrow with mixture. Cover with remaining half and tie with string. |
