FRIENDSHIP CAKE 
NOTE: Do not refrigerate starter or fruit once it is added. Be sure to loosen the lid of the starter until you are ready to begin Step #1 with the starter.

STEP 1:
1 1/2 c. starter
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 lg. can peaches

Add:

STEP 2:
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 lg. can crushed pineapple

Add:

STEP 3:
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 lg. can fruit cocktail
1 lg. jar maraschino cherries

STEP 4: Drain fruit for 2 hours saving the juice as starter. Five 1 1/2 cups to a friend to start this recipe. You will have enough fruit for 4 cakes. Bake all 4 or give 1 1/2 cups of fruit to a friend.

To bake cake: 1 box vanilla instant pudding 1 1/2 c. fruit 1 c. chopped nuts 3/4 c. oil 4 eggs

Mix well and bake in greased tube pan 45 minutes at 325 degrees. Glaze while hot and still in the pan.
