AUNT GUSSIE'S GINGERSNAPS 
3/4 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
1 egg
4 tbsp. molasses
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and molasses and mix well. Add dry ingredients. Shape into balls. Dip in sugar and bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes.
