1 onion, sliced thin
2 qt. cucumber, sliced thin
1 c. white vinegar
3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. salt

Let cucumbers and onion stand in 2 tablespoons of salt for 2 hours. Pack into containers. Heat sugar and vinegar just enough to melt sugar. Pour over pickles and freeze.
