JAPANESE TURKEY 
1/4 c. blanched slivered almonds
1 tbsp. safflower oil
1 lb. ground turkey
2 c. water
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. fine noodles (may use 3 oz. pkg. Ramen oriental noodles)
2 1/2 c. Japanese or Oriental style frozen vegetables
1 tbsp. soy sauce

Saute almonds in oil in a skillet until lightly browned. Remove from pan and set aside. Brown ground turkey well in oil remaining in skillet. Stir in water and salt, and bring to a boil. Stir in noodles. Cover and simmer for 2 minutes. Add vegetables. Bring to a full boil over medium heat, separating vegetables with a fork and stirring frequently. Cover and simmer 3 minutes. Stir in soy sauce; sprinkle with almonds. Serves 4.
