HEAVENLY BANANA NUT BARS 
2/3 c. vegetable shortening
1/2 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
1 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
4 tsp. sour cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 egg whites
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream together shortening and sugar; add egg yolks and mix well. Sift together dry ingredients 3 times. Add alternately with sour cream. Stir in bananas and mix thoroughly. Add vanilla and fold in beaten egg whites and chopped nuts. Bake in a well greased and floured 8"x13" pan at 300 degrees for 1 hour. When cool, cut into strips or bars and roll in confectioners' sugar.
