This dessert has been used in my family for years, we all love, love, love it. It's great for any holiday or family gathering.

I was working at a local senior center this week and they had this recipe and I thought I would make it this year for thanksgiving as I would be the one doing the cooking for myself and it was so good I could not resist it anymore and brought everything accept the coolwhip!

This recipe works really well with sugar free jello as well you just have to mix and stir of about 4 minutes to make sure gelatin disolves

If anyone in your family is like my daughter they turn their nose up at this recipe because they don't like the idea of the cottage cheese in this recipe. That's why I make a variation of this recipe by using 8 ounces of cream cheese in place of the cottage cheese. The dessert is firmer but still taste delicious!
