CHOCOLATE CHIP BROWNIES 
1/3 c. butter
2 tbsp. water
2 c. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Combine butter, sugar and water in small saucepan; bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add 1 cup chocolate chips, stir until melted and smooth. Add vanilla, transfer to a medium bowl. Beat in eggs, one at a time.

Sift together flour, baking soda and salt; add to chocolate mix. Stir in remaining cup of chocolate chips and nuts. Spread in pan, bake 25 minutes. Cool on wire rack, covered with a towel, before cutting into squares. Makes about 16.
