BUTTERMILK BROWNIES 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

FROSTING:

1/4 c. butter
3 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
3 tbsp. buttermilk
2 1/4 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

In saucepan, combine butter, cocoa and 1 cup water. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. In a large mixing bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking soda and salt. Stir in eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Add cocoa mixture and mix to blend well. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Frost while warm.

To make frosting: Combine butter, cocoa and buttermilk in saucepan. Cook and stir until boiling. Remove from heat and beat in powdered sugar and nuts. Beat well and spread on warm brownies.
