BUTTERMILK BROWNIES 
1 c. butter
1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
2 c. all purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 slightly beaten eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Cocoa-Buttermilk Frosting

In a saucepan combine butter, cocoa and 1 cup water. Bring to boil; stir constantly. Remove from heat. In large mixing bowl, stir together flour, sugar, soda and salt; stir in eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Add cocoa mixture; mix until blended. Pour into a greased 13"x9" baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Immediately pour Cocoa-Buttermilk frosting over brownies; spread evenly. Cool; cut into bars. Makes 60 bars.

COCOA BUTTERMILK FROSTING: In a saucepan mix 1/4 cup butter, 3 tablespoons cocoa powder and 3 tablespoons buttermilk. Cook and stir to boiling; remove from heat. Beat in 2 1/4 cups sifted powdered sugar, 1/2 cup chopped walnuts and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Remember to use unsweetened cocoa in this recipe.
