BUTTERMILK BROWNIES 
1 stick butter
1 c. water
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. oil
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine first 4 ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and pour over the other ingredients that have been combined. Beat until smooth. Bake in an 11 x 9 x 2 inch or 9 x 9 inch greased pan at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.

ICING:

1 stick butter
1 c. ground nuts
1/4 c. cocoa
1/3 c. buttermilk
1 lb. confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine all ingredients in saucepan and bring to a quick boil. Spread over hot brownies right out of the oven. Cool.
