PER SERVING:

4 tbsp. all-purpose flour
4 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 egg
3 tbsp. milk
3 tbsp. vegetable oil
3 tbsp. chocolate chips (optional)
splash of vanilla extract
1 large microwave safe coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug and mix well. Add egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in milk and oil - mix well. Add chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla and mix again.

Put mug in microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake may rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed. Allow to cool a little and tip out onto a serving plate. Frost if desired and share if you are so inclined!!!

Makes 1 chocolate mug cake.
