RED VELVET CAKE 
1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 oz. bottle red food coloring
1 oz. water
2 tbsp. cocoa
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vinegar

Cream Crisco, sugar, and eggs. Add food coloring and rinse bottle with the 1 ounce of water. Add rest of ingredients. Use 9 x 13 inch pan. Mix all together and bake for 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

CREAMY WHITE FROSTING:

Cook 5 tablespoons flour and 1 cup milk until thick, stirring constantly. Beat 1 cup sugar, 1 cup butter, and 1 teaspoon vanilla in mixing bowl. Beat until snowy white and then add the flour/milk mixture. Spread on cake.
