CARAMEL BARS | |
32 caramel squares 2/3 c. evaporated milk 1 c. flour 1 c. quick oats 1 c. chopped nuts 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. butter, melted 1 1/2 c. plain M&M'S® Combine caramels and milk over low heat until caramels are melted. Combine flour, oats, nuts, sugar, soda, and salt; add butter, mixing until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup. Press remaining mixture into greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Sprinkle 1 cup M&M'S® over partially baked crust; drizzle with caramel mixture. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture and remaining M&M'S®. Bake 20-25 minutes longer. Cool slightly; chill 30 minutes. Cut into bars. |
