M & M FESTIVE CARAMEL BARS 
32 individually wrapped caramel squares
2/3 c. (5 1/3 oz. can) evaporated milk
1 c. flour
1 c. quick oats, uncooked
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 1/2 c. M & M plain chocolate candies

Combine caramels and milk in heavy saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until caramels are melted and mixture is well blended. Combine flour, oats, nuts, sugar, soda and salt; add butter, mixing until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Reserve 1 cup; press remaining mixture onto bottom of greased 13"x9" baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Sprinkle 1 cup candies over partially baked crust; add remaining candies. Continue baking 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly; chill 3 minutes. Cut into bars.

I love this recipe, but this version is missing some steps. After "sprinkle 1 cup candies over partially baked crust" the next step is to drizzle the caramel, add the remaining 1 cup of the oats mixture and then "add the remaining candies". After that continue baking 20-25 minutes.
