AFTER-PRACTICE APPLE PIE 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
3 tbsp. water
1/2 c. chopped pecans
6 c. sliced tart apples
1/2 c. granulated sugar

Beat butter and brown sugar until pale and fluffy. Stir in flour, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and water until smooth and thick. Stir in pecans. Slice apples in pie pan or casserole. Mix granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Spread on apples. Spoon pecan topping over apples in droplets. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve warm or cold with cream, Cool Whip, or ice cream.
