COCONUT-DATE BALLS 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. white Karo syrup
1 c. pecans
1 c. chopped dates
2 c. Rice Krispies
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coconut

Melt butter in large skillet. Stir in sugar, egg, Karo syrup, dates and nuts. Cook over low heat about 8 minutes, or until thick. Remove from heat and cool. Stir in Rice Krispies and vanilla. Roll into balls about the size of quarters and roll in coconut.
