Follow recipe for lemon cake mix. Bake in a sheet pan. Let cool and split into layers. (Can use chocolate or other flavor cake mix.)

FILLING:

1 c. milk
5 tbsp. flour

Cook until good and thick. Let this cool some. Beat 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup Crisco with 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1 cup sugar. Beat 2 mixtures together; put between layers.
