1 pkg. fudge cake mix (only)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
2 beaten eggs

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
1/3 c. milk
5 tbsp. butter
6 oz. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cake: Mix together adding cherries last. (It will be very stiff.) Bake at 350 degrees in greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan.

Frosting: Combine all but chips in a saucepan. Bring to a boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in chips until smooth. Pour over cooled cake.
