PUMPKIN MUFFINS 
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. mace
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 tbsp. melted butter
1 can pumpkin or squash

Sift flour and measure. Sift together with baking powder, mace, sugar, cinnamon and salt. Beat egg in a separate bowl. Fold in the pumpkin, add milk and melted butter. Add dry ingredients. Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Makes 12 muffins.
