PUMPKIN PIE 
1 1/2 c. mashed pumpkin or butternut squash
1 egg
1/2 c. milk, heated
1/2 c. cream, heated
1 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. corn syrup or molasses
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Dash nutmeg
1 tbsp. browned butter
Pinch of salt

Combine in order all ingredients. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle additional cinnamon and nutmeg over top of pie.

Bake at 450 for 15 minutes; turn down to 350 for 45 minutes.

Optional: Add 1 1/2 cups coconut to pie mixture or sprinkle coconut in bottom of pie shell before filling or on top of pie before baking.
