GERMAN STREUSEL COFFEE CAKE | |
2 tbsp. butter 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 2 tbsp. flour 1/3 c. chopped walnuts BATTER: 1 1/2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder Dash of salt 3/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. shortening 1/2 c. milk 1 egg 1/2 tsp. vanilla Mix topping ingredients and set aside. For batter, mix flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Add the shortening, milk, egg and vanilla. Beat together for 2 minutes. Grease and flour 9 x 13 inch pan. Pour in batter and sprinkle topping over. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. |
